Spurs Announce Groundbreaking Partnership, Charity Match With San Antonio FC
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The San Antonio Spurs and San Antonio FC announce a combined effort to support the San Antonio community, highlighted by the first annual Somos Todos SA.
Somos Todos SA is a multi-sport exhibition contest between the San Antonio Spurs and San Antonio FC. The two clubs will face off in a basketball game at the AT&T Center on October 15 in the first leg of the competition, followed by a soccer match hosted by San Antonio FC at Toyota Field on October 17.
Tickets for the two contests are available now, and all proceeds from both matches will help fund the Hispanic Small Business Initiative in San Antonio. In addition, a fan voting process among the members of the HSBI will determine two foodservice businesses which will receive a space at the AT&T Center and Toyota Field, respectively for the 2023 season.
“We couldn’t be more excited about Somos Todos SA,” Danny Kotula, Spurs vide president, said. “San Antonio FC will be a fantastic partner in this initiative to help lift up and show appreciation for the vibrant Hispanic community in our special city, and we’re confident both sets of fans will enjoy the on-field and on-court action as well.”

Based in San Antonio, the Spurs have provided the city with 50 years of excitement, including 5 NBA Finals Championships and 6 Western Conference titles. In a Persuasion and Advocacy course, I was tasked with developing a compelling donation pitch for the charity of my choosing. My choice was Charity Ball, an international soccer organization founded by a teenager which provides hope in the midst of poverty with soccer balls, clean water, and more.
